Three people have been arrested in Nrisinghpura village in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district on suspicion of raping a 14-year-old girl and then murdering and burning her body in a coal furnace, police said on Wednesday.
Police took action on minor girl raped in Rajasthan:
Police said they understood the event through the underage girl’s family members, who went looking for her after she remained missing for several hours.
According to the girl’s brother, she went missing after leaving the house in the morning to graze the livestock.
“We started looking for her in the afternoon when the cattle returned, but my sister didn’t come back with them,” he explained.
Later that night, around 10 p.m., they arrived at the coal furnace area looking for her, discovered human bones in one of the furnaces, which was still blazing despite the rain, and promptly notified the police.
Police said that after getting the tip, they went to the location and captured three people who had confessed to the family about the alleged gang rape and murder before the police arrived.
SP Adarsh Sindhu on the issue:
“Police also found the girl’s bracelets and shoes.” Given the gravity of the situation, a forensic team has been called in. A DNA test of the bone samples discovered in the furnace will also be performed for further investigation’, said Bhilawar police superintendent (SP) Adarsh Sindhu.
The suspects have been brought into jail and are being interrogated, according to Kotri police station house officer (SHO) Khivraj Singh. “The family is preparing to file the formal report.” “We are awaiting the forensics report to conduct further investigation,” Singh added.
Meanwhile, Kalulal Gurjar, president of the Rajasthan Gurjar Mahasabha and a Bharatiya Janata Party leader, reportedly arrived at the scene and called the district collector and the SP before completing any forensics tests on the samples.
