Mumbai news: A male friend of the female also got slash injuries while hanging out around Holycross Community, Mumbai with other friends at about 5 am on Saturday.

 A 30-year-old male stabbed his girlfriend with a knife at Santa Cruz (East), Mumbai, Saturday morning, doubting that she was cheating on him, the cops confirmed. A male friend of the female also got slash injuries, and both are getting treatment at the VN Desai Hospital, they told.

The police have launched an investigation to arrest the charge, identified as Samir Shaikh, a professional DJ.

According to the cops, the female Urvi Raval, 31, who is an event organiser, and her friend Rifaqat Wadgama were stabbed while they were hanging out around Holycross Community with other friends about 5 am after attending a birthday bash of their friend Faraz Ansari, 35, on Friday evening.

The cops said that Rawal’s lover Samir Shaikh came at that time, hit Raval, snatched her cell phone, and, by pointing at Wadgama, questioned her about who he was. The complaint was registered by Ansari’s friend Shaziya Khan who was also there at the birthday bash.

Shaziya and other people took the injured to the hospital.

Based on Shaziya’s FIR, the Vakola police have filed an attempt to murder case against Samir Shaikh.
