Jaan said during an interview with The Times of India that the impact of his father over his professional career was limited. “There have been assumptions that I may be getting a lot of support through my father since he is a noted singer.
I wanted to clear those assumptions. I am also not scared to say the reality out loud,” he says.
He added, “I always have to talk to my father about it although we haven’t got an opportunity yet. However, at the end of the day, he is my dad, as well as things, will get sorted out as we are family.”

In reply, his father told TOI, “He requested me to call a few people from the industry that I know. I’ve been called Mukesh Bhatt Ji, Ramesh Taurani Ji, as well as a few others, and Jaan has gone to visit them, and then it was up to them to offer him a job. Actually, I let him join me for a couple when Jaan needed to be part of several of my live performances.
