No one will look at your land now’: PM Modi tells SVAMITVA scheme beneficiaries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that after introducing the physical distribution of property cards on Sunday, no one could see the properties of recipients of the Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas (SVAMITVA) scheme.

These cards are tangible copies of property titles (as compared to the cultivated land) of the houses of the villagers and the neighbouring areas they own. Under the scheme, land parcels have mapped using drones in rural areas. This will assist in the collection of revenue and ensure consistency in rural regions on property rights.

Their self-respect recovered when one becomes the owner of their home. One feels safe and robust, “PM Modi said while connecting with the scheme’s beneficiaries.

“Another historic move towards a self-reliant India is the start of physical distribution of property cards,” PM Modi stated, adding that the day on which it is launched is also essential. “Today is Jayaprakash Narayan’s birthday, and Nanaji Deshmukh, the social reformer. These two leaders worked extremely hard for rural growth, said the PM.

The SVAMITVA scheme aims to establish accurate land documentation, reduce property-related disputes, and increase land parcel liquidity.
The scheme would allow villagers to take out loans as well. If they have suitable land and property records, no bank will refuse loans to them, “PM Modi said.

“Only the one-third of the world’s population has property records … “I can not let the rural population rely on others, I have to work to make them self-reliant,” he said, applauding the scheme to help millions of rural property owners by using current methods of technology.

In as many as 763 cities, including 346 of Uttar Pradesh, 44 from Madhya Pradesh, 221 from Haryana, 100 from Maharashtra, 50 from Uttarakhand, and two from Karnataka, the development plan of the scheme is being initiated.

Also present at the meeting were Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Yadav Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar.
