After making an emergency landing at Jaipur airport owing to poor weather, the pilots of an Air India flight from London refused to proceed any farther.

Around 350 passengers were stranded for about three hours, forcing them to seek alternative travel plans to reach Delhi.

The AI-112 flight was supposed to arrive in Delhi at 4 a.m. on Sunday but was diverted to Jaipur due to severe weather in the area around Delhi.

Notably, the Delhi-bound flight was cleared to resume its voyage, but the pilots refused to fly, stating, “Our duty time is up.”

Adit, One of the passengers, resorted to Twitter to express how distressed they were since they had “not been assisted with any recourse to reaching their final destinations.” He complained about the airline’s and airport officials’ lack of support.

Following the tweet, Air India said their team is ‘doing its best’ to make the passengers’ experience as inconvenient as possible. “Please, no more empty promises!” Adit commented on the tweet.

The Jaipur Airport staff has been completely useless and uncooperative in assisting us. “Their solution of having all passengers travel by coach to Delhi is damnable and ludicrous,” he remarked.
