Another legend will say goodbye to Barcelona this summer: the legendary LB Jordi Alba after Sergio Busquets.
Jordi Alba has been one of FC Barcelona’s most important players in recent years. But eras come to an end; after Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba has also decided to leave the club this summer.
The Spanish LB has played 11 seasons for Blaugranas, having played 458 games, scoring 27 goals and 99 assists to his name, and has won 18 trophies.
FC Barcelona is expected to make it official that the players will part ways with the club after many years together.
Alba was set to make 38 million euros next season in deferred wages payments, and with the club looking to lessen its salary bill significantly, moving him on or lowering his pay was one of the main plans this summer.

Gerard Romero has since set the figure that Alba will waive about 50% of the salary he was due to make.
Toni Juanmarti has even confirmed the report and says that Alba is set to give up a substantial part of the wages he was due to get this coming season. He had a year left on his contract, but the club clearly went it to Alba to choose whether he would stay.
Jordi Alba will surely be in the hearts of Barcelona fans as one of the best left-backs they have ever had. This is heartbreaking news for all the Blaugrana fans as one more legend leaves the club after so many years together.
His skills to cut down defences, create gaps, provide accurate crosses, and those beautiful assists and those dying-minute goals will always be in all Culers’ hearts.
