Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Dunki rights sold at record-breaking 480 crores
After the record-breaking hit of Pathaan, the rights to Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Dunki, his upcoming movies have been sold at a whopping money.
2023 is the year of Shah Rukh Khan. He started 2023 with a record-breaking triumph in the spy thriller Pathaan, his first movie in over four years. Now, fans are keen for the launch of two more projects by the actor – Atlee’s Jawan and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki.
Fans were already amazed by the recent update that the Jawan teaser will connect the dots of Tom Cruise’s spy thriller Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, which launched in Indian theatres on July 12. Now, they’ve yet another reason to celebrate.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Dunki rights sold at a high price:
A statement doing the rounds says that Shah Rukh’s upcoming movies, Jawan and Dunki, are being sold at a whopping price of ₹480 crores.

The report states, “The rights of Jawan, digital, satellite and music, have been sold for about ₹250 crore. The rights of Dunki have been sold for about ₹230 crore, which individually, to this date, stands as the highest for any film.”
Pathaan, which featured Shah Rukh in his first lead role since Aanand L Rai’s 2018 flop Zero, broke several records in the movie trade. Its rights were sold at almost ₹100 crore. The movie is now streaming on Prime Video.
Also featuring Deepika Padukone, John Abraham and Dimple Kapadia in critical roles, and Salman Khan in a cameo, Sidharth Anand’s movie made around ₹543.05 crore in its Hindi version domestically. Pathaan was even launched in Tamil and Telugu.
