India has registered more recoveries on a regular basis than new cases reported on Saturday.
Globally, the estimated active Covid-19 cases (21, 612) per million population are registered by the United States.
There are 15 states that have positive rates lesser than the national average.
India’s active cases load of coronavirus infection (Covid-19), which is the actual disease burden of a country, has dropped to 3.09 per cent of the overall positive cases, with 33 States, as well as Union Territories, registering less than 20,000 active cases on Saturday, government data indicate.
The Union Ministry of Health in a statement:
India has registered more recoveries on a regular basis than new cases reported on Saturday. “The pattern of more daily recoveries than daily cases have led to a continuous reduction of the active caseloads of India currently at 3,08,751…,” the Union Ministry of Health stated in a statement.
“The decreasing number of active cases has ensured that active cases per million population are some of the lowest in the world in India (223),” he stated.
Globally, the estimated active Covid-19 cases (21, 612) per million population are registered by the United States.
The exponential rise in Covid-19 research has contributed to a 6.25 per cent decrease in India’s cumulative positivity score, with tests reaching 160 million samples.
Regular testing reduced the number of cases:
There are 15 states, such as Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Odisha as well as Telangana, that have positive rates lesser than the national average. The Ministry of Health states, “Comprehensive as well as widespread testing on a continuous basis has resulted in reducing the rate of positivity.”
On average, in even more than 2,000 laboratories authorized for Covid-19 testing by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) from all over the world, the country tests at least one million samples per day.
The regular testing ability of India has also been enhanced to conduct at least one-and-a-half million Covid-19 tests every day.
ICMR, the country’s apex body regulating medical research in the country:
Since the beginning of the pandemic, ICMR, the country’s top body overseeing medical research in the country, has been overseeing the Covid-19 testing initiative in India. The body not only supported states and laboratories in testing Covid-19 but also validated test kits, especially those manufactured in India, to ensure the availability of quality items.
