India has registered 22,065 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) times in the previous 24 hours, the dashboard of the Union Health Ministry indicated on Tuesday morning. With this, 99,06,165 have completed the national tally.This is the lowest regular count since July 6 of cases involving Covid-19.
As per the Health Ministry update:
According to a health ministry update at 8 am the number of active cases decreased further to 3,39,820, whereas 94,22,636 patients were healed or discharged from hospitals. The country also registered 354 new deaths, raising the national count to 1,43,709.
According to the government report on Monday, the proportion of India’s active Covid-19 cases in the total number of infections further decreased to 3.57 percent, the minimum after 149 days.
Vikas Swarup stated in UNGA virtual meeting:
On Monday, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) provided a virtual meeting on Covid-19, where Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs (West) Vikas Swarup stated that India had emerged as net health protection provided as well as successfully assumed its responsibility as the world’s pharmacy.
As Swarup stated:
We increased our diagnostic facilities from one big pan-India testing facility to more than 2,000 today within two months of the pandemic. We have been the second-largest producer with almost no domestic manufacturing of PPE kits.
With 1.6 million isolation beds, more than 17,000 dedicated COVID facilities were set up. “For comprehensive contact tracing, digital tools such as the Aarogya Setu App have been developed and are being utilized effectively,” said Swarup.

Center on Vaccination guidelines:
Meanwhile, on Monday, the Centre issued guidelines ahead of the Covid-19 vaccination project, which is expected to commence soon. The Centre has conducted states to ensure safe injection methods.
