While the small model is available in Black, Cool Mint, and White, the large model is only available in Black. There is no word on whether the fitness band will be available in India.
The Garmin Vivosmart 5 has an OLED display with a resolution of 88×154 pixels. According to the company, the minor variant fits wrists with a circumference of 122-188mm, also the large variant fits wrists with a rim of 148-228mm. In addition, it has several sensors, including a Garmin Elevate heart rate sensor. A pulse oxygen saturation sensor, an accelerometer, and an ambient light sensor.
The Garmin Vivosmart 5’s health monitoring features include heart rate, blood oxygen, advanced sleep, stress management, and women’s health tracking. Body Battery Energy Monitoring is another feature in which the tracker records the body’s energy levels throughout the day to decide the best times for activity and rest.
The band has a Hydration Tracking feature that logs the wearer’s daily fluid intake and reminds them to stay hydrated. They can also set an automatic hydration goal based on how much sweat the wearers lose while exercising. Another feature is Respiration Tracking, which displays how the wearer breathes throughout the day.
The Fitness Age feature on the watch estimates whether the wearer’s body is younger or older than they are based on chronological age, vigorous weekly activity, resting heart rate, and BMI or body fat percentage. According to the company, they will then receive tips on how to reduce their fitness age.
