The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been spied on several occasions.
While we were getting tired of seeing photographs and videos of its test mules all over the internet, a fascinating clip of the Himalayan 450 production vehicle has now been disclosed.
The video shows Indian Dakar Rally sensation CS Santosh riding his motorbike through trails. The bike is seen jumping and skidding through dirt, mud, and slush.
This could imply that the new Himalayan 450 will be presented as a far more capable off-roader than the existing 411cc Himalayan.
Interestingly, the Himalayan 450 is a leaner motorbike than the previous edition, making it an easier bike to ride off-road.
All about the New RE Himalayan 450:
The motorcycle will be powered by a more modern 450cc motor with liquid cooling.
This will be a short-stroke, high-revving engine based on the exhaust noise revealed in the spy footage.
Regarding engine performance, we anticipate producing around 40bhp and 45Nm, placing it close to the KTM 390 Adventure.
Even the hardware will be more expensive than its predecessor, with components such as upside-down forks and larger disc brakes.
The launch of the new bike:
Also, the spy images show that the features will be more modern.
As a result, a full-LED lighting system and a spherical fully-digital console with Bluetooth connectivity will be included in the package.
Even the addition of dual-channel ABS with a switchable function, as well as an assist and slipper clutch, will come as no surprise.
The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will arrive before the holiday season.
The price should be around Rs. 2.70 lahks (ex-showroom) against the KTM 390 Adventure X and the BMW G 310 GS in India.
