A Great innings by Abdul Samad and David Warner:

A 37-run partnership was set up by Abdul Samad and David Warner to help Sunrisers Hyderabad drive the match to a Super Over.

After going down 109/4 in the 16th over, SRH found themselves in trouble, with 55 runs still to complete the chase.

But Samad slammed 23 runs in 15 balls to help SRH reach closer to the target before being dismissed by Shivam Mavi. To force the game to a tie, Warner scored 47 on 33 balls.

As Kane Williamson and Jonny Bairstow gave Sunrisers a flying start in the chase, SRH captain Warner chose to promote himself lower down the order, and the plan seemed to succeed.

The duo placed 58 powerplay runs, but after the first ball of its 7th over, Lockie Ferguson got Williamson out for 28.

An Inning by SRH bowlers:

As Lockie Ferguson dismissed Priyam Garg during his next over, Williamson’s wicket opened the floodgates of wickets, and afterwards, Bairstow holed out to Andre Russell in Varun Chakravarthy’s over.

In Pat Cummins’ over, Ferguson cleaned up Manish Pandey with a great yorker, and then Vijay Shankar sliced one to Shubman Gill, leaving Warner and Abdul Samad to do a lofty job.

After Warner opted to field, KKR got off to a strong start. When he was batting at 1, Gill was given a lifeline as Rashid Khan dropped a sitter.

Nitish Rana took over his job after T Natarajan cleared away Tripathi and both Gill and Rana went just after bowlers to hold the run rate of KKR high.

In quick succession, however, the two batsmen were dismissed, with Priyam Garg taking two impressive catches.

As he holed out to Vijay Shankar in the deep in T Natarajan’s over, Andre Russell struggled to shine yet again. He was only able to score nine runs on 11 hits.

But KKR Captain Eoin Morgan & ex-captain Dinesh Karthik eventually stitched a 58-run partnership to bring their total in 20 overs to 163/5.

Mostly on the final ball of an innings, Morgan was dismissed, with Basil Thampi finding his first wicket in 121 over.
