According to star batter Rishabh Pant. Hoping to rekindle Virat Kohli batting partnership with the former skipper when India takes on Pakistan in the T20 World Cup on Sunday. Virat Kohli’s immense experience helps in dealing with pressure situations.

“Virat Kohli can teach you how to go through situations. Which might help you in your cricket journey going forward,” Pant was quoted as saying by the T20 World Cup website.

“Having someone with a lot of experience batting with you is beneficial because he can show you. How to take the game on and maintain that run-a-ball pressure type of thing. Last year, India lost to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup after Mohammad Rizwan. And Babar Azam successfully chased down 151/7 without losing a wicket for a comprehensive 10-wicket victory.

On his way to his quickfire 39, Pant, 25, had added 53 runs with then-skipper Kohli. “I remember hitting Hasan Ali for two sixes in the same over. We were trying to get the run rate up after losing early wickets, and Virat and I staged a partnership.”

“We were upping the tempo when I smacked him for two sixes with one hand… my special shot.”

Pant said of playing archrivals Pakistan, “It’s always special playing against Pakistan because there is always a special hype around that match.”

Many emotions are involved, not just for us but also for the fans and everyone else. It’s a different feeling, a different kind of atmosphere when you take the field and see people cheering here and there. It was a different atmosphere, and when we sang our national anthem, I got goosebumps.
