A video showing a teacher taking a nap in a classroom while children sweep the floor and play at a primary school in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur went popular on social media, prompting the education administration to order an investigation.

The video, which went viral, shows a male instructor sleeping in the classroom using children’s schoolbags as pillows, while youngsters can be heard giggling and playing in the background, and some girls can be seen scrubbing the floor.

According to an India Today article, the incident happened at Bajaura Primary School in the Lavkushnagar subdivision of Chhatarpur district. As soon as the video got viral, the children’s relatives began demanding harsh punishment for the Teacher, which district education officer MK Koutarya quickly demanded an investigation into.

According to Koutarya, the Teacher’s video has been brought to their attention, and instructions have been made to the cluster principal and block education officer to investigate the matter.

The district education officer further stated that if the Teacher is proven guilty, disciplinary action will be taken against her. He stated that instead of sleeping on the floor, the Teacher should ensure the proper functioning of classes and other basic demands.
