The firm, which runs under the Wise Travel India cabs brand, also has third-party and individual-owned cars in its fleet. However, he said most electric vehicles would be especially company-owned.

Expansion Plans in Tier II Cities and Beyond

Wise Travel India Ltd, a prominent B2B transport solutions provider, is gearing up for a significant expansion in India’s tier II cities such as Chandigarh, Jaipur, Coimbatore, and Indore. Additionally, the company is eyeing an international presence in countries like Saudi Arabia and various far east nations.

Commitment to Sustainability

Founder and CEO Ashok Vashist shared the company’s ambitious plans for sustainability, highlighting a major focus on electric and bio-CNG vehicles. With over 300 electric cars already in its fleet, Wise Travel India’s aim to add over 1,000 electric vehicles, including both cars and buses, this year. 

Vashist emphasized that most of these electric vehicles would be company-owned, signaling a significant shift towards eco-friendly transportation solutions.

Investment and Financing Strategy

Vashist disclosed that the company plans to invest approximately Rs 50 crore in acquiring these electric vehicles, utilizing a combination of debt and equity. 

Notably, Wise Travel India Ltd intends to set up solar panels at key hubs like Bengaluru and Delhi to generate renewable electricity, facilitating sustainable charging solutions for its electric vehicles.

Wise Travel India Ltd’s sustainability initiative extends beyond electric vehicles, encompassing bio-CNG and hydrogen-powered vehicles as well. 

Vashist expressed the company’s commitment to pioneering the use of bio-CNG fuels for commuting, highlighting its potential as a sustainable alternative. The company’s holistic approach underscores its dedication to robust and environmentally conscious mobility solutions.
