When considering a phone in the Rs 20,000 price range, one does not immediately think of the Infinix brand. This is because the company’s phones are more prevalent in the sub-Rs 15,000 price range. The Infinix Zero 5G, on the other hand, is a slightly more expensive device that starts at Rs 19,999.
The Infinix Zero 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor with 5G support, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. The phone also has a triple camera on the back, but none are ultra-wide or macro.
But are the specifications sufficient to distinguish this Infinix phone in the market? Here’s our take on it.
6.78-inch full HD+ display with 120 Hz refresh rate | Mediatek Dimensity 900 processor | 8GB RAM+128GB storage space (expandable storage support) | 48MP+13MP+2MP camera + 16MP front camera | XOS 10 with Android 11 on top | 5000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging
The Infinix Zero 5G price is Rs 19,999 in India.
What’s good about the Infinix Zero 5G?
The Infinix Zero 5G is available in three colors: cosmic black, horizon blue, and skylight orange. I received the black variant for review, which has a glossy feel, which I do not like. Fingerprint city is the result. So yes, getting a cover for this is required.
But what I liked about the design is that the camera does not protrude as far as the competition does. Instead, there’s a slight arc around the camera module, making it stand out. The Zero 5G is a dual-SIM smartphone with a microSD card slot. Infinix claims to support 5G on both places. The headphone jack is still present. Also, the fingerprint scanner is integrated into the power button. To open the device, the scanner works precisely and quickly. However, the Face Lock feature was not very accurate.
