Shefali Shah’s career has been on a roll regarding suitable roles and successful films over the last year. The actor has appeared in several critically acclaimed roles in projects that have also been successful. Many people would assume that her success would lead to more good work, but in a recent interview. Shefali hinted that this hasn’t happened and that she is still expecting’ it to.

When asked if all of this has resulted in her having her pick of roles in good projects in an interview with India Today, Shefali replied, “I was expecting it. And I am expecting it, but I think what has happened after this year and all the releases is whatever role they must have thought of me has also stopped. Because now they think we cannot go to her with a filler.”

The actor clarified that she is open to doing minor roles and cameos as long as they are relevant to the film and have the desired impact. “You could have a short screen time, but it all depends on how it is translated onscreen. It is not about length but about the character’s importance in the film. That’s not where I want to be. “I would do an ensemble film if the character were important,” she added.

Shefali won Best Actress at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne this year for her portrayal of a domestic help battling to find the people who hurt her daughter in Jalsa.
