The Messi VS Ronaldo rivalry is loved by all football fans across the globe. Next week The series A defending champions Juventus will host the Catalan giants Barcelona.

 Barca Legend Leo Messi hopes that Ronaldo will be fit to play the match. But Cristiano remains in doubt about performing in the match, as he has tested positive again.

Cristiano Ronaldo COVID-19 test returns positive for the second time:

Cristiano Ronaldo when he was busy with his international duty with Portugal, tested positive for the novel coronavirus on October 13.

 The former Real Madrid man had to miss his match against Sweden before flying to Italy to continue his self-isolation. Ronaldo forcefully had to sit out of Juventus’s squad for the matches against Crotone and Dynamo Kyiv.

The 35-year-old again tested positive this week, and he is set to miss his arch-rival with Lionel Messi. Ronaldo will miss the Serie A home game against Hellas Verona as well.

According to the reports claimed by an Italy newspaper, Ronaldo has a less virus load but has tested positive again. 

Juventus are hoping Ronaldo can still be deemed fit to start against Barcelona next Wednesday. Juventus are set to request the UEFA board to have a covid test of Ronaldo 48 hours before the match against Barca. It remains to be seen if UEFA grants Juventus’ special request.

Barca star talks ‘Messi and Ronaldo’ rivalry: 

Messi recently talked with the “DAZN.” In the talks, Barca top scorer says he wants Ronaldo to be in the Line-up. He calls his rivalry with Ronaldo as “special.”

 He states that the El Cassico that is Barca VS Real Madrid had a different significance with Ronaldo on Pitch.

The Barca Legend further adds that the Ronaldo-Messi rivalry has entertained the fans well, and he hoped they would deliver more on Wednesday.
