Rajinikanth’s blockbuster sequel holds strong in theatres as collections remain impressive in its third week.
Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 continues to dominate the box office, proving that its theatrical run is far from over. Fifteen days after its release, the action-packed entertainer is still drawing audiences to cinemas, recording solid collections across major markets and cementing its status as one of the year’s biggest films.
The much-anticipated sequel, which opened in cinemas on October 15, has enjoyed an outstanding run since its opening day. Despite entering its third week, the film remains a top choice among moviegoers, adding another significant figure to its already massive earnings.
On its 15th day in theatres, Jailer 2 earned an estimated ₹5.90 crore net in India. With this latest addition, the film’s total domestic net collection has reached approximately ₹429.55 crore. Its gross earnings in India have crossed the ₹500 crore mark, reaching around ₹502.65 crore, underscoring the film’s extraordinary box-office strength.
The film’s success extends beyond India. Overseas markets have also contributed substantially to its earnings, helping the film achieve a worldwide gross of nearly ₹765.15 crore. The impressive global performance reflects Rajinikanth’s enduring popularity among audiences in India and abroad.
Among the various language versions, Tamil continues to drive the film’s success. The Tamil edition accounted for the largest share of day 15 collections, at around ₹3.20 crore, while the Telugu version added approximately ₹1.40 crore. The Hindi version earned an estimated ₹1.10 crore, despite challenges in certain northern regions due to exhibition-related issues and disagreements over release-window policies.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film has received largely positive reviews from audiences and critics alike. Many viewers have praised its blend of action, humour, larger-than-life storytelling and Rajinikanth’s magnetic screen presence.
