Johnny Depp libel trial: Amber Heard rejects claims of her fabricating injuries.
Amber Heard squashed the claims of her fabricating injuries in the libel trial wherein Johnny Depp has sued UK’s newspaper The Sun over its “wife beater” remark.
On Tuesday, in Britain’s High Court in London, Amber Heard has denied the claims of her fabricating injuries to show that her then-husband Johnny Depp had been violent towards her. Amber took to the witness box for her second day of evidence in the libel trial wherein Johnny Depp has sued British tabloid, The Sun over its “wife beater” remark.
Depp’s defense questions why Heard’s injuries were not visible to the residents of their building:
Depp’s lawyer, Eleanor Laws, showed the court a series of video clips from an elevator at ex-couples Los Angeles apartment, which alleged Heard of fabricating the injuries as a result of an incident on 21st of May 2016, that ended up with police arriving on the scene. Laws also questioned Heard that why the other building members didn’t notice the injuries she had so adamantly claimed, days after the incident.
Amber Heard rejects accusations of her having an affair with James Franco or Elon Musk:
Heard had alleged Depp of injuring her right cheek and eye by throwing a cell phone at her “like he was a baseball pitcher”. Heard rejected the claim and said that she used to wear makeup while leaving the house and that could camouflage any injury. Heard rejected Depp’s previous claims of her having an affair, with co-star James Franco, or Tesla CEO Elon Musk when she was with Johnny Depp. She said that it doesn’t matter now anyway.
Depp was accused of being violent:
Amber Heard on her first day of the trial, had accused ex-husband Depp of abusing her verbally and physically, after getting high by allegedly taking drugs and alcohol. Johnny Depp denied the accusations and instead alleged Heard of being violent physically.
Heard makes some revelations:
Heard then went on to reveal that throughout their relationship, at various points she had endured “punching, kicking, slapping, head-butting, and choking. Some incidents were so severe that I was afraid he was going to kill me, either intentionally or just by losing control and going too far.”
