Kieron Pollard says that Rohit Sharma doesn’t feel well, so I’m here to talk to you guys.

Key points:

  1. The Mumbai Indians had the opportunity to take the top position in the Indian Premier League leader board.
  2. In the second over, KXIP ended up winning the match as they increased their point total to six from 9 matches.
  3. I’ve been told that he (Rohit) doesn’t feel well, so I’m here to talk with you guys.
  4. Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) beat the Mumbai Indians at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.
  5. Rohit Sharma and Quinton De Kock came out to bat in the first Super Over.

When they needed just six runs to win the Super Over against Kings XI Punjab on Sunday, the Mumbai Indians had the opportunity to take the top position in the Indian Premier League leader board.

But to limit Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma to just five runs, Mohammed Shami bowled an excellent over as the match went into another Super Over.

Eventually, in the second over, KXIP ended up winning the match as they increased their point total to six from 9 matches.

There was, however, a surprise at the end of the game as his deputy Kieron Pollard went out to attend the press conference instead of skipper Rohit.

The media asked if anything with the MI skipper was perfect. As he said that Rohit wasn’t feeling well, Pollard provided an update on the status.

Pollard in press Confrence:

I’ve been told that he (Rohit) doesn’t feel well, so I’m here to talk with you guys. “We’re going to see what happens, but he’s a warrior,” Pollard said.

Pollard also commented on the MI team’s power of Jasprit Bumrah, saying that the Indian pacer has picked over the mantle from Lasith Malinga, a Sri Lankan pacer.

Malinga, for personal reasons, decided to leave the Indian Premier League (IPL). The main cog in the bowling machine of the Mumbai Indians was the Sri Lankan pacer.

A defeat for MI:

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) beat the Mumbai Indians at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday after the end of the two back-to-back Super Overs.

Bumrah had conceded only five runs in the first Super over, however, and Mumbai Indians looked set for a comfortable win, but Mohammad Shami turned the tide and took the game into yet another super over.

Pollard on Bumrah at Press conference:

“He’s a world-class cricketer (Bumrah). He has been number one for a long period in a couple of formats. He has trained and in a span of time and so he has gone leaps and bounds for us at Mumbai Indians.

In him, we have security. We had a fit and fair Lasith Malinga a couple of years ago, and he (Bumrah) has taken over the mantle now and then,’ Pollard said during the post-match press conference.

Rohit Sharma and Quinton De Kock came out to bat in the first Super Over and were unable to carry the team across the line. Pollard helped the Indians of Mumbai score 11 runs in the second Super Over.

Obviously, there are decision-makers, you know, we might look at that stuff and say that’s where we lost the match, but we played a really good game of cricket.

We’ve been batting well and getting to 170 and taking the game to the last over,’ Pollard said.

In second place with 12 points, the reigning champions Mumbai Indians are two points shy of front-runner Delhi Capitals.

Only a matter of change, to strengthen and do better each and every time we step on the cricket field. The all-rounder said, “We will look back and evaluate the game, and we will come up with a better strategy and hopefully get two points in the next game.”

With Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday, the Mumbai Indians will next lock horns.
