Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch and inaugurate a massive slew of developmental projects worth over Rs 82,950 crore during his two-day visit to Gujarat from May 26 to 27. The visit marks a significant push for infrastructure and economic growth in the state, with projects spread across key regions including Dahod, Bhuj, and Gandhinagar.

The PM’s itinerary kicks off on Monday morning in Vadodara, where he will arrive from New Delhi at 10 am. The city is abuzz with preparations as posters, cutouts, and replicas praising the three defence wings for their success in ‘Operation Sindoor’ have been displayed near the airport circle. Sindoor bowls symbolizing the operation’s victory will also be showcased.

From Vadodara, PM Modi will head to Dahod, where he will inaugurate the new locomotive manufacturing plant of Indian Railways. One of the highlights is the flagging off of the first 9000 HP electric locomotive branded ‘Made by Dahod.’ Besides this, Modi will inaugurate a series of development projects worth over Rs 24,000 crore, which include key railway projects and various initiatives by the Gujarat government aimed at boosting connectivity and industrial growth in the region.

Later in the day, the PM will flag off two important trains: the Vande Bharat Express running between Veraval and Ahmedabad, and the express train connecting Valsad and Dahod stations, improving transportation and regional connectivity.

At around 3:30 pm, Modi will arrive in Bhuj for a grand 1.5 km roadshow from the airport to the meeting venue. Here, he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate development projects valued at over Rs 53,400 crore. These projects are expected to significantly enhance infrastructure, including solar power plants, port facilities at Kandla, power transmission systems, and road construction across Bhuj and surrounding districts.

Following the Bhuj events, the Prime Minister will reach Ahmedabad airport at 6:30 pm, where BJP leaders and cabinet members will receive him. A roadshow covering 2 km from Ahmedabad Airport to Indira Bridge will welcome him to the city. In Gandhinagar, Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for projects worth Rs 5,536 crore, further consolidating the state’s development momentum.

On Tuesday, Modi will hold another roadshow from Raj Bhavan to Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, where he will inaugurate additional projects and schemes before concluding his visit and returning to New Delhi.

This extensive program of infrastructure projects underscores Gujarat’s role as a development powerhouse and aligns with the government’s vision for rapid urban and rural transformation. The investments will impact sectors ranging from transportation and energy to housing and water supply, benefitting millions of residents across the state.
