KKR Winless in IPL 2026: Rahane Fined for Slow Over-Rate

Kolkata Knight Riders have endured a nightmare start to IPL 2026, remaining winless after their first five matches — the first time in the franchise’s league history they have failed to win any of their opening five games. The defending 2024 champions find themselves rooted to the bottom of the points table, with their season showing no signs of a turnaround.

The team has now lost six consecutive IPL matches — including their final two completed games from last season — equalling their joint second-longest losing streak since 2019. Only their catastrophic nine-match losing run in 2009 was worse.

With confidence low and pressure mounting on both management and players, KKR’s road to revival looks increasingly steep.
