Mouni Roy married Suraj Nambiar in Goa on Thursday. The actor has now released a wedding video featuring the best moments from her Malayali wedding.

Suraj Nambiar is Mouni Roy’s new husband. The couple married in Goa on Thursday according to Malayali customs, followed by a Bengali wedding ceremony. Mouni has just released a video of her Malayali wedding. Suraj is Malay and Mouni is Bengali.

Mouni captioned her wedding video on Instagram, “So blessed…so so happy.” It depicts her arriving at the mandap in a white and red silk saree and gold temple jewelry to exchange wedding vows with Suraj Nambiar, dressed in a cream kurta and mundu.

Mouni is seen arriving with her bridesmaids; all dressed in white and gold sarees.

Her best friend, actress Mandira Bedi, is also present and gestures to ward off the evil eye. Aamna Sharif and Aashka Goradia, both TV actors, joined Mouni in Goa and appeared in a wedding photo shared by Mandira on Instagram Stories.

Mouni’s brother welcomes the groom with a few rituals, while Mouni seeks her late father’s blessings by looking at his portrait. Then, Mandira and others can be hooting for Mouni as she and Suraj exchange wedding vows, as is customary in Bengal. The video concludes with the newlyweds posing for family photos on a staircase, with the groom lifting the bride for the perfect shot.

Several of Mouni’s fans and friends congratulated her in the comments section. “Mubarak!” wrote Pakistani actor Mahira Khan. Khush raho, aaabad raho. Ameen. Much love (Congratulations. Be prosperous and happy. God bless you. Many thanks).”

Aamna Sharif with Mouni following the Bengali ceremony and the bride following the Malayali ceremony. Mandira also posted photos from the day on Instagram with the caption, “I’m thrilled to be with and thrilled for my favorite people, Mr. and Mrs. Nambiar!! What a lovely ceremony! @imouniroy @nambiar13, I adore you.”

Suraj and Mouni’s Malayali wedding was followed by a Bengali ceremony in which the bride was carried on a stool by her brothers and friends. She wore a red lehenga and bridal jewelry for the occasion.
