In the hours after Nepal’s fatal aeroplane crash 30 years, footage went viral in India – it depicted one of the victims, Sonu Jaiswal, live streaming from the plane only seconds before the crash.

He was part of a set of four people from Ghazipur in India who were going to Nepal and were on the flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

Nepal’s fatal plane crash:

None of the 72 people on the plane is considered to have survived the crash.

The footage shows the aeroplane gliding gradually over the honeycombs of buildings spotting brown-green fields before the man shooting it turns the camera around and smiles.

He then flips it again to show other people in the aircraft.

Minutes pass, and then there’s a loud crash.

Flames and smoke seal the screen within seconds as the camera keeps recording. What sounds like the screeching of a machine is audible, as well as shattering glass and then screaming before the clip ends.

Friends and family members of Sonu Jaiswal told journalists that they had seen the video on his Facebook handle, assuring its authenticity.
