New councils have been set up in the country to involve education experts in developing the knowledge sector.

Education sectors in UAE to have new formations: 

Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology and director of the Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE), revealed the formation of Taaleem Councils. 

An initiative was established last October following the orders of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Al Amiri lately chaired the first session of the councils, which presently consist of 35 members, including principals and teachers.

The School Leadership Council consists of 14 members; the Teachers Council, with 14; the Young Teachers Council, with seven associates.

The councils seek to apply education professionals in setting programmes to improve academic results and back critical decisions within the organization.

In addition, these councils will assist in finding and working on practical and innovative solutions to challenges in the academic field.

Al Amiri on the new initiative: 

Al Amiri said: “This initiative is founded on the significance of involving them in creating innovative educational plans and policies to guarantee their effective participation in the steps to develop the nation’s national public education system and enhance its competitiveness at the international level.”
