Watch fire break’s out at Delhi’s AIIMS hospital

On Monday afternoon, a fire breaks out at Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) emergency ward, prompting many fire tenders to race to the scene. According to the fire service, the fire was controlled within an hour of the event.

As per the report, the incident occurred on the second story of the main building. According to ANI, a fire broke out in the endoscopic area, forcing all patients to be evacuated.

A fire call was received from AIIMS’s emergency ward at 11:54 a.m., according to Delhi Fire Services director Atul Garg, who added that a total of eight fire tenders were called in to put out the fire.

The fire is currently under control, and the hunt is ongoing, according to the DFS.

Images from the hospital premises showed evacuated patients being moved to safer locations.
