X (earlier Twitter) will now have audio and video call option

Elon Musk, the Twitter CEO, announced that X, formerly known as Twitter, will now have Video and audio call options. 

The audio and video call by X:

‘Video and audio calls are coming to X,’ Elon Musk, the social network’s owner, stated on Thursday. However, the billionaire did not specify when the feature would be available.

“It runs on iOS, Android, Mac, and PC.”

There is no need for a phone number.

“X is the most effective global address book,” the world’s wealthiest person claimed in his essay, describing these features as “unique.”

Musk’s revelation comes just days after X CEO Linda Yaccarino told CNBC in an interview that the platform will get a video and audio call function.

The History of Twitter:

Twitter, now changed its name to X, is a social media and social networking website managed by X Corp., the successor of Twitter, Inc.

Biz Stone, Noah Glass, Jack Dorsey, and Evan Williams founded Twitter in March 2006. It debuted in July of that year. Twitter, Inc., its former parent corporation, was situated in San Francisco, California, and has more than 25 offices worldwide. 

By 2012, more than 100 million users sent 340 million tweets every day, and the service handled 1.6 billion search queries per day on average.

It was one of the top 10 most-visited websites in 2013 and has been dubbed “the SMS of the Internet.” Twitter had over 330 million monthly active users at the start of 2019. 

In practice, a small number of users produce most tweets. It was anticipated in 2020 that around 48 million accounts (15% of all accounts) were not genuine people.

Elon Musk, a business magnate, purchased Twitter for US$44 billion in October 2022, acquiring network control and becoming CEO.
