The number of infected people in Maharashtra reaches 66,224,345

The state health agency said that Maharashtra reported 925 new coronavirus cases and 41 deaths on Friday. Including 66 22,345 infections and 1,457,576 deaths. As of Thursday, the state had recorded 997 cases of COVID-19 and 28 deaths.

The ministry said that a total of 945 patients had been discharged in the past 24 hours. Bringing the number of people cured in Maharashtra to 64,658,893 and leaving the state with 12,290 active cases.

The recovery rate from COVID-19 in Maharashtra is now 97.64 percent while the death rate is 2.12 percent. The report said, adding that with 1,116,799 samples tested. The number of tests carried out in the state fell to 6.37. 47,431 has increased.

As of Friday, 12 counties and nine civil authorities across the state had not reported any new cases of COVID-19.

Mumbai District reported the highest 257 new infections, followed by Pune District with 96 cases. Among the eight state rounds (each consisting of several districts), the Mumbai round recorded the highest 461 cases during the day, followed by 264 in the Pune region. An official statement said Nashik region reported 112 cases, Kolhapur 27, Aurangabad 24, Latour 21, Nagpur 12 and Akola region four.

It said Pune Circle reported 16 deaths, the highest of the state’s eight states, followed by Mumbai (15), Nashik (2), Latour (2). Akola (2), and Kolhapur (4), adding that Nagpur and Aurangabad Region reported no new deaths. Out of 12,290 active cases in Maharashtra, Mumbai District has the highest 3,665 cases. On the other hand, Pune district had the highest number of cures at 11,324,246, he added.

The coronavirus data for Maharashtra is as follows. Total cases 66,22,345, new cases 925, total deaths 1,40,516, number cured 64,65,893, active cases 12,290, number of tests 6,37,47,431.
