She said that she had a discussion with Neetu, a day before Rishi’s demise, who sobbed while revealing to Simi that Rishi had gotten feeble. Rishi passed on April 30, a year ago, after fighting malignancy for a very long time.
Simi stated told Filmi Beat:
“I addressed Neetu for quite a while on the telephone when she was dealing with Chintu at the medical clinic in Mumbai.
During the lockdown a year ago, she had been disengaged and alone in the clinic for a month. She sobbed as she disclosed to me how frail he had become. The following day he passed on,” she disclosed to Filmi Beat.
Talking about her last discussion with the Bobby entertainer, she said, “Chintu was attached to my sister Amrita, and she and I in a real sense petitioned God for his wellbeing at the gurudwara while he was in NY.
Neetu thought about it and continued informing me, composing, ‘Continue to ask Simi’. I met him last at the Bachchans’ 2019 Diwali gathering, and he got through the groups to come and embrace us.
He looked so great; he was thin and shining! We chatted with incredible love from the two sides that evening. That was our last gathering.”
Simi had shared her grief by tweeting after Rishi’s demise:
A year ago, after his demise, Simi had shared her sadness by tweeting, “#RishiKapoor My Chintu sweetheart has gone… My dearest friend..my costar..my close companion.
The person who used to make me chuckle till I cried! Presently there are just tears… No last farewell. No memorial service. No supporting hugs. Quietness. Vacancy. Melancholy.”
Prior, Rishi had said that Simi held an exceptionally extraordinary spot in his heart and called her ‘my first pulverize, my first love’.
