High-ranking officials got together in Jammu on Friday to talk about security-related issues in the Union Territory.
In order to discuss security-related issues in the Union Territory, officials met at a high level in Jammu on Friday under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Manoj Sinha, the Lt. Governor, also attended the meeting. Shah arrived in Jammu this afternoon to meet the families of those killed in the two terror attacks in Rajouri. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha greeted him at the Jammu Airport.
Officers from the security establishment and the civil administration attended the high-level meeting at Raj Bhawan. There were also senior officers from various forces and intelligence organisations there.
The Home Minister will meet with the families of the twin terror attack victims in the Dhangri village of the Rajouri district. Along with the security forces, he will review the situation on the ground.
In the Dhangri hamlet, the twin terrorist acts had left seven members of the minority community—including two children—dead and fourteen others hurt.
While four people were shot and killed on January 1st, two children were killed, and numerous others were hurt when an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion is believed to have occurred in the same area on January 2nd.
The police, the CAPF, and Indian Army troops have all been deployed as part of a multi-tiered security cover, according to officials, who will also be responsible for guarding the higher elevations.
They added that CCTV cameras had been installed in numerous locations throughout the Dhangri village to ensure close monitoring of the area.
Senior police and CAPF officers as well visited the area on Thursday evening to review the security protocols before the Home Minister’s arrival.
