Post the return of the 19 dissident MLAs led by Sachin Pilot, the Congress government in Rajasthan expectedly won the Assembly floor test.

On Friday, the Congress government in Rajasthan, led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot won the motion of confidence in the assembly floor test by a voice vote. Ending the threat triggered by a rebellion within the Congress ranks in Rajasthan, the party won the floor test expectedly, after the return of the 19 dissident MLAs led by Sachin Pilot to the party-fold. In a House of 200, with the support of independents and allies, Congress accounted for 107 MLAs against the BJP who had 72 members. Assembly Speaker CP Joshi said that the house has been adjourned till August 21. 

Sachin Pilot puts his complete faith in the Congress:

Former deputy chief minister and Rajasthan state chief Sachin Pilot, who reconciled with his arch-nemesis, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot gave his first reaction of the huge win for the Congress. He put complete faith on Congress and said that a roadmap has been prepared to address all the issues that were being raised, he said,” the vote of confidence which was brought by the government has been passed with a very good majority today in the Rajasthan Assembly. Despite various attempts by the opposition, the result is in favor of the government. I have complete faith that roadmap will be announced timely.” 

Ashok Gehlot says he will not let anyone topple his government:

Earlier in the day, Ashok Gehlot criticized the BJP and said that he will not let the government topple at any cost, and alleged the BJP of trying to bring down his government. Meanwhile, during the session, Rajasthan leader of opposition Gulab Chang Kataria said that the Congress was blaming the BJP for their own in-house quarrel.
