Canadian PM Justin Trudeau makes fun on TikTok ban

On Friday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he is happy with his recent ban on the Chinese social media app TikTok from government-issued devices and said his children could no longer get access to the site.

President Trudeau and Vice President Joe Biden had a joint news conference in Ottawa. During it, the Canadian PM stated: “Our concerns about TikTok are around security and access to data that the Chinese government potentially have to government phones. My kids being unable to access TikTok is just a personal benefit.

Justin Trudeau, who is 51 years old, has three kids, two of whom are teenagers. The platform poses an “unacceptable” risk to security and privacy, according to the government that issued the ban last month.

Trudeau added, “I am obviously concerned about their security and privacy, which is why I’m delighted they are no longer using TikTok on their phones that just so happen to be supplied by the government. The fact that it caused them so much frustration. “Dad, this is about us?”

Canada is not just the first country to ban TikTok. During the lockdown period, India also banned the Chinese app. And a few days back, the UK government also banned the Chinese social media application due to the data security issue.
