CBSE Class 12 Student Claims Physics Answer Sheet Belongs to Someone Else

A CBSE Class 12 student has stunned social media after claiming that the Physics answer sheet uploaded under his roll number during the board’s re-evaluation process belongs to an entirely different student. The incident has reignited debates around the reliability of CBSE’s newly introduced On-Screen Marking (OSM) system.

After receiving unexpectedly low marks in Physics, the student applied for photocopies of his answer sheets through the official re-evaluation process. Upon receiving them, he immediately noticed that the handwriting, letter formation, spacing, and even the attempted questions did not match what he had written during the exam.

Family and Teachers Confirm Mismatch

The student’s concerns were not isolated. His family members and teachers, all familiar with his handwriting, confirmed that the Physics answer sheet was drastically different from his English and Computer Science papers. The student shared detailed comparisons on X, where the post quickly went viral.

Questions Over OSM System Integrity

The student raised a critical question: if another student’s paper was evaluated under his roll number, was his actual Physics paper ever assessed at all? He urged CBSE to verify original answer sheets, audit the scanning and tagging process, and investigate potential paper-exchange errors within the OSM system.

Social media users responded with alarm, with many advising the student to approach a lawyer or the Delhi High Court. Others noted that similar concerns over blurry scans and missing pages have been reported by students across the country since CBSE adopted on-screen evaluation.

CBSE is yet to respond publicly to the allegations.
