Prachi Nigam Scores 91.2% in Class 12 After Facing Trolls

Prachi Nigam, the girl who topped Uttar Pradesh’s Class 10 board exams in 2024 with a staggering 591 out of 600, has done it again. The student from Sitapur district has scored 91.20% in her Class 12 board exams in 2026, proving that resilience and focus can silence even the loudest critics.

A Brilliant Academic Performance

Prachi’s scorecard reflects her strengths clearly — 99 in Mathematics, 96 in Hindi, 95 in Chemistry, and 93 in Physics. Her only score below 90 was in English, where she secured 73 marks. She attributed this to her intense focus on JEE preparation, which naturally demanded more time on science and mathematics than on languages.

Rising Above the Trolls

When Prachi topped Class 10, her photograph went viral for the wrong reasons. She was mercilessly mocked online for her facial hair, turning one of the proudest moments of her life into a period of distress. She had even confessed in a BBC interview that she briefly wished she hadn’t topped the exams to avoid the attention. But Prachi chose to draw strength from an unlikely comparison — the ancient strategist Chanakya, who was also ridiculed but never deterred.

“However God has made me, I am okay with it,” she told local media recently, adding that she remains grateful to those who supported her.

With her Class 12 result now behind her, Prachi has her sights firmly set on cracking JEE and earning a seat at an IIT — a dream she has carried since childhood and shows every sign of achieving.
