Here’s what new Meta AI chatbot can do; and it’s features
The Mark Zuckerberg-led Meta Platforms is working on new AI powered chatbot with ‘various personalities’ and the ability to have ‘humanlike interactions’ with users utilising the internet giant.
According to the Financial Times (FT), the chatbots might be introduced as early as next month.
The new Meta AI Chatbot:
According to the FT, Meta employees have termed these chatbots ‘personas’ since they will take the form of various characters. One of the bots will be based on Abraham Lincoln, and another has been proposed that advises on vacation options in the form of a surfer.
According to the FT, they will include a new search feature and suggestions. Also it will work as a ‘fun product’ for people to play with.
According to experts, chatbots, in general, may acquire large amounts of fresh data about users’ interests. In Meta’s case, this may help it reach out to its target users more effectively with relevant information and ads.
According to the FT, adverts generate most of the Menlo Park-based company’s $117 billion in annual income.
Chatbot talks like individuals:
Character.ai, a $1 billion start-up sponsored by Andreessen Horowitz, a US-based venture capital (VC) firm, employs large language models (LLMs) to generate conversations in the style of people such as Elon Musk and the video game character Super Mario.
In February, snapchat introduced the ‘My AI’ feature, which includes an ‘experimental and friendly’ chatbot.
