Telegram will rollout it’s new story feature soon

Telegram, the messaging software, will soon offer Stories, according to its founder and CEO Pavel Durov. This feature is in testing and will be available in July of this year.

On his Telegram channel, Durov stated that Stories account for more than half of all feature requests he receives. This functionality is available on Meta’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

Telegram CEO Pavel Durov says:

While announcing the upgrade, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov stated that the Stories feature will make the service more “social and fun.” The user will be able to specify who can access his or her Stories, such as everyone, only contacts, a few selected contacts, or a list of Close Friends.

According to Durov, the Stories will be housed in an expanded section at the top of the chat list, making them quickly accessible. A user can quickly conceal Stories and transfer them to the ‘Hidden’ list in the Contacts area.

According to Durov, the Stories feature not only includes photo and video editing options but also allows captions to give more context or links and tag other individuals. Users can simultaneously publish photographs and movies shot with front and rear cameras.

All about the new feature:

Users will be able to choose whether their narrative will expire in six, 12, 24 or 48 hours. They can also permanently display tales on the profile page, with different privacy settings for each article.

According to Durov, the app will soon be able to republish messages from channels to stories.
