Fadnavis issued an investigation on Kirit Somaiya leaked video
The Kirit Somaiya leaked video has been a hot topic; several allegations have been imposed on him. At the same time, the BJP Lok Sabha MP says that it was not him.
On Tuesday, Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister, launched a high-level investigation into 35 video clips spanning eight hours that purportedly show former BJP Lok Sabha MP Kirit Somaiya in a compromising situation.

Fadnavis stated that no one found guilty would be spared. Ambadas Danave, the leader of the Opposition and a Shiv Sena (UBT) MLC, raised the issue at the Maharashtra state legislative council.
Danave brought a pen drive keeping over eight hours of video recordings and handed it over to home minister Devendra Fadnavis for an in-depth investigation.
“It was discovered that Kirit Somaiya used to extort and blackmail female officers by posing a danger to a central agency, the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Somaiya used to extort money by filing fake allegations and asking that government agencies probe.
The trip has now shifted from extortionist to sextornist. In these videos, he also used crude remarks about Marathi women. “We demand a high-level investigation by a special investigations team,” Danave stated.
Further, the Deputy CM stated:
Fadnavis, in charge of the home portfolio, stated that the situation is grave. “We assure the House that a high-level team will thoroughly investigate the matter.” Nobody is going to be spared.
An unbiased investigation will be carried out. Anyone with a complaint, papers, or video clips should file it with the police for an investigation. We’ll also find out who the woman on the other end was.
The rules will not release the identity of the woman. “The police will carry out their duties within the parameters set,” Fadnavis stated.
Anil Parab, a Shiv Sena MLC, claimed that Kirit Somaiya damaged several families by threatening the central agency.
