Batting first Aussie struggles to get start:

Many after-match told me the pitch was challenging and all. But if you see, most of the batters got out due to poor shots. Bowling was so tight that batters were not able to find gaps. The pressure took hold on Aussie batters, who gave up against Jadeja, Ashwin, and Kuldeep. Bumrah again showed why he is a great and most important bowler in the lineup with Kuldeep.

The pick of the bowler was Jaddu. He was brilliant. Tight line and length with some spin helped him get Smith, Labuchagne, and Carey. Ashwin and Kuldeep brilliantly supported him.
KLRahul and Virat Kohli partnership:
Chasing 200 was difficult, but Chase master Kohli and KLRahul coolly played mature cricket. Rohit Sharma got a good indeeper from Hazlewood, who bowled with fantastic line and length. He was the only bowler who kept Aussie hopes alive for some time. Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer gifted wickets by playing false shots.
Kohli, in the starting first 20 balls, never looked settled. He was given life when he was 9. Marsh dropped an easy catch of Kohli in the bowling of Hazlewood. After that, Kohli missed many balls, and indeed, it was one of the innings he had played after a long time. But his experience and KLRahul’s headed partner helped him settle down. He made a lovely 86 runs, helping India win easily.
The best batter for India was KLRahul. He never looked like he would get out. Rahul is enjoying his ODI cricket after his comeback from injury. He stayed for 91 overs in pads in the Chennai heat. This is not easy to do. Only experienced and good athletes can survive for this long.
Rahul made an incredible 97 runs to help India achieve the target in the 42nd over. Hardik Pandya was a villain. He smashed one six, which made it difficult for Rahul to get 100. I wonder what was happening in Hardik Pandya’s mind and why he did that. He was aware Rahul was near to 100. There was no need for six, so why hold someone’s century? That is the most unwanted 11 runs he ever gave to India win.
IndvsAus Worldcup 2023 was an all-good start for India in the World Cup 2023. India is showing maturity in every department, which will help them reach the semis for sure. The batting form of Rahul and Kohli is a big boost. The bowling of India is settled, and all bowlers are showing maturity too.
On the other side, Aus did well but in patches. Indeed, they will fight back in coming matches. Smith, Warner, and Labuchagne are showing good form. Bowling, too, is ok as Starc, cumming, and Hazlewood are looking in good rhythm. They need Zampa to perform in all the matches to help Aus get that extra advantage in Indian pitches.
