New Royal Enfield Classic 350 launched in Ahmedabad
The proportion of middleweight motorcycle purchases among women increased.
Royal Enfield, a middleweight motorcycle maker, is also set to enter the e-bike segment, given the government’s emphasis on electric vehicles in the face of rising petrol and diesel prices and the environment.
“Our research team is working on electric bullets, and we have come a long way in this project,” said Puneet Sood, the company’s national business head (North and West India and Nepal). The company will launch the e-bike shortly.
The e-vehicle market is still developing,
Puneet Sood added that the way fuel prices have risen has led to a lot of development in the electric vehicle segment. The government has also made many changes at the policy level for incentives.
Like others, we are working on e-bike development. Although there are no plans to launch it shortly, there is still a lot of work. The market for this segment is developing now, but its share is still very low overall. So we will wait for the right time for the launch.
Gujarat important market for the company
Puneet Sood said that our share in the bike segment above 160 ccs in Gujarat is about 25%, and Gujarat is an important market for us. We currently have 46 main dealers and 38 studio stores in the state, which mainly cater to the demand of rural Gujarat.
In addition, we have also focused on service. To make the service better, we have started service on wheels that come to your home and service the vehicle.
Talking
about the brand new Classic 350 in Ahmedabad, Puneet Sood said that Royal Enfield has continued to attract a lot of attention among motorcyclists in Ahmedabad and Gujarat. Middleweight motorcycle purchases have also increased among women. We have continued to increase our presence in the state to meet more customers who want to upgrade to a premium motorcycle.
“Shortage of semiconductors may delay delivery.
” said, Puneet Sood. This is affecting vehicle delivery. We are currently committing to deliver within 15 days of the booking we are taking. If the demand increases, given the supply of semiconductors, we too may have to extend the delivery period by one month.
