Gadkari was especially disillusioned with the latrine offices given by the side of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, which was opened up for public use from April 1 this year. 

Gadkari said, “There is one side of the road convenience on Delhi-Meerut thruway. I have seen the image, and I would prefer not to take the name of the project worker.

Yet, the side of the road convenience that he has built is so awful and filthy that one can’t utilize the latrine office.” 

He additionally said that he would reprimand the worker for hire for building such a helpless foundation that nobody might want to utilize.

The 82-km-long Delhi-Meerut freeway has 60 km of the turnpike and 22 km of public roadway. The task has been created at the expense of ₹8,346 crores.
