The Delhi CM during the digital news briefing:

On Tuesday, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal encouraged the Center to drop CBSE assessments for 10 and 12 as the city recorded almost 13,500 Covid-19 cases. 

“CBSE board tests are drawing nearer. In Delhi, 600,000 understudies are booked to show up for the assessments this year. 

Also, 100,000 educators will be associated with leading these tests,” the main priest said at an advanced news instruction.

Further, CM Kejriwal added:

“These (the test habitats) could wind up being Covid-19 problem areas… Several nations which are seeing a subsequent wave have likewise dropped such assessments.

DCPCR also asked the CBSE to postpone the board exams :

The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) also asked the CBSE to defer the board tests or rethink the evaluation measures considering the sharp spike in Covid-19 cases the nation over. 

As one of the officials stated:

Authorities at the CBSE stated that they are observing the circumstance. “The board is keeping a nearby watch on how the Covid-19 pandemic circumstance is unfurling the nation over. 

Some state sheets have effectively begun deferring their tests. In the CBSE event, which is the greatest public board, any choice concerning tests can’t be taken singularly. 

We are talking about the circumstance with Union services and will accept a call if the tests should be delayed or not,” a senior authority told. 

Further, the official added:

“The board needs to consider the Covid-19 circumstance across states before accepting a call since CBSE can’t direct tests in various states at various timings. 

Also, it’s impractical to receive some other method of evaluation or lead tests in online mode,” the authority added.
