The first phase of the metro train running in Ahmedabad is 40 kilometers long. Which Metro train will run on two corridors, namely East and West and North and South.
Phase-1 includes 32 stations. The North and South Corridor will be 18.87 km from Vasana APMC to Motera village, consisting of 15 stations. The east and west corridors are 21.16 km from Thaltej village to Vastral Apparel Park.
The peculiarity of this 21 km long corridor is that the metro train passes over the river and passes under the city. The train will pass under the city’s heavy traffic area and exit Kankaria East.

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited will start metro rail phase-1 in August 2022. The work is going on in its splendor.
However, how the Metro Rail work is pending in both the corridors suggests that the entire Phase-1 of the Metro Train cannot be started. The route from Vasana APMC to Shreyas Crossing can only be four kilometers.
The 40-kilometer road includes 32 stations, of which only four are ready. About 10 percent of the work will be left. But the route of the Metro train and the operation of the stations as it appears at present, as the rest of the stations and metro trains run, suggests that the metro train will not be able to run for 40 kilometers by August 2022.
