Remembering the father of the Nation on it’s 75th death Anniversary

On the 75th Death anniversary of, let’s pray, a tribute to the father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

Mahatma Gandhi, mainly known as the Bapu, is the father of the Nation. One of the main and strong reasons behind the independence and freedom of India. 

Mahatma Gandhi, or Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, was born on October 2 1869, in the Gujarat town of Porbandar. 

The Nonviolent father of Nation:

Mahatma was one of the great freedom fighters of India and the leader in the battle for freedom against colonial British rule. This helped India to get freedom in the year 1947. 

His strong commitments like ‘Swaraj’, which means (self-governance) and ‘Ahimsa’, which means (non-violence) have given him international praise.

But along with this, few people hated him.

Nathuram Godse killed bappu:

On January 30, 1948, Nathuram Godse shot Bappu at Gandhi Smriti at the Birla House during his evening prayers. Martyr’s Day, or Shaheed Diwas, is honoured in remembrance of this freedom fighter. 

To pay tribute and pray for peace for the great freedom fighter, the Central Govt has stated that State Govt and union territories observe two minutes of silence at 11 a.m.

Today we are marking the death Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi as it’s been 75 years. Still, his ideas and wisdom motivate the youth.
