The admission process has started in Gujarat University for post-standard 12 courses. More students have passed this year due to mass promotion. So there is a good chance that admission to the college will increase. 

Private universities already started admission. But now, the registration process has been started by Gujarat University, how the admission process will be done this year, how more students will be given admission. Regarding whether such a new college or class will be added or not, Divyabhaskar asked the Chancellor of Gujarat University, Dr Himanshu had a special talk with Pandya.

Question: What will be the admission process this year?

Ans: This year also the admission process will be the same as every year. Students have to register earlier. Then we will get the data of the students. Only then will we proceed further. In which the final merit list will be announced after the provisional merit list is announced.

Question: What is the response to registration this year?

Ans: More registrations are taking place this year than every year. Initially, more than 35,000 registrations have been made. Still, this figure will rise.

Question: In which department most registrations are taking place?

Ans: The highest number of registrations so far is taking place in all the departments which have integrated courses. Now we have come to start integrated 5 year course in most of the subjects. At present more than 2 thousand registrations have been done against 950 seats.

Question: How many seats are there in the university, and how many registrations are likely to occur?

Answer: Gujarat University has more than 65 thousand seats in courses including B.COM, BBA, BCA, Integrated, MBA, MSC IT. Some seats remain vacant every year, but all seats will be filled this year. In addition, 20,000 seats are likely to be filled. That means 85,000 seats are likely to be filled.

Question: If more seats are likely to be filled, how will arrangements be made?

Answer: There is a possibility of 85 thousand registrations against 65 thousand seats. A meeting of the committee will be held after the completion of the registration process. After that, arrangements will be made to start a class or college, keeping in view the course in which more registrations have taken place.

Question: Will there be more registrations, and will any student be deprived of admission?

Answer: 85 thousand registrations or more registrations, but we have the system. All students will get admission. No student will be deprived of admission.
