Sanjana Ganesan Slams Trolls for Targeting Son Angad After MI-LSG Match

India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah’s wife, Sanjana Ganesan, has hit back strongly at trolls for making insensitive remarks about their son, Angad. Sanjana and Angad were present at the Wankhede Stadium during Mumbai Indians’ (MI) clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) on Sunday, April 27.

Taking to Instagram, Sanjana issued a strong statement defending her son. She stressed that Angad is not a subject for public entertainment and urged people to exercise sensitivity while commenting online.

“Our son is NOT a topic for your entertainment,” Sanjana wrote on her Instagram story. “Jasprit and I do everything in our power to keep Angad away from social media because the internet is a despicable, vile place to be. I completely understand the implications of bringing a child to a cricket stadium filled with cameras, but please understand that Angad and I were there to support Jasprit and nothing else.”

Sanjana also criticized the casual and irresponsible use of serious terms like “trauma” and “depression” in reference to a baby, calling it “really sad.” She added, “You know nothing about our son, nothing about our lives, and I request you to keep your opinions online true to that.”

Sanjana and Angad have often been seen supporting Bumrah during his matches. The family’s public appearances, including their celebration of India’s T20 World Cup 2024 triumph, have been warmly received by most fans. However, it has also left their young son exposed to the darker side of online trolling—a reality Sanjana highlighted in her emotional appeal.
