The Manipur Police have arrested another suspect in connection with a viral video that went viral on Wednesday, showing two women paraded naked and sexually attacked by a mob in strife-torn Manipur.

Four people arrested in connection with the case on Thursday were sentenced to 11 days in police jail on Friday.

The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows two women being paraded naked and assaulted in Kangpokpi, Manipur, and has sparked widespread indignation across the country and in Parliament during the ongoing monsoon session.

Smriti Irani on Manipur viral video:

In Mumbai, Union Minister Smriti Irani stated that the Manipur viral video problem is delicate and has repercussions for national security and that the opposition leaders are aware of it.

“However, the opposition refused to debate the matter on the floor of Parliament.” What is particularly concerning is that yesterday, when a minister from the state of Rajasthan spoke out against crime against women, Congress swiftly removed him.

A video from Malda in West Bengal shows two Dalit women being thrashed and undressed. The Congress did not want to hear the truth regarding crimes against women in Rajasthan…

“The Congress is a mute spectator to the killings of people during the West Bengal Panchayat elections because it is desperate for collaboration with the TMC,” Irani told reporters.

The state government advised residents to return stolen weapons, ammunition, and explosives to the police or the local security forces.

According to India Today, new violence erupted in Imphal as women protestors stopped both sides of an important route in the Ghari region.
