Sudan crisis intensely increases despite a truce among the forces

Although a 72-hour ceasefire is in effect, there are still ongoing conflicts in some regions of Sudan crisis.

Mohamed Osman from the BBC reported by phone from Omdurman, which is adjacent to the capital Khartoum, that there was a conflict close to the TV and radio structures.

According to our correspondent, the situation is dire as there is a shortage of fuel, doctors, and necessities like food and money. People need help accessing these essential resources.

According to reports, the head of Sudan’s army has given the green light to prolong the ceasefire, which was set to end on Friday, for an additional 72 hours.

According to the Reuters news agency, Gen Abdel Fattah al-Burhan has approved a proposal by the Intergovernmental Authority on Development, a regional bloc in Africa.

According to the proposal, representatives from the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) would travel to Juba, South Sudan, to discuss the plan’s specifics.

A ceasefire started at midnight local time (22:00 GMT) on Monday, putting a temporary stop to the conflict that began on April 15th due to a power struggle between the army and the RSF leaders.

According to our correspondent, Khartoum and Omdurman residents struggle to obtain clean water, food, and cash.

On Wednesday, there were still explosions, gunfire, and warplanes in the sky. However, it was less intense than before the ceasefire, and the conditions were suitable for continuing evacuations.
