Volodymyr Zelensky says Putin should be punished for his criminal actions

Talking at The Hague, Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky called for the establishment of a war court to have Russia to war crimes.

Vladimir Putin should be convicted for his “criminal actions”, Volodymyr Zelensky has said to the International Criminal Court.

Speaking at The Hague, Ukraine’s president asked for the establishment of a war court to have Russia account for alleged war offences.

Zelensky was talking a day after Moscow blamed Ukraine for trying to assassinate Vladimir Putin. Russia indicted the US of an alleged drone invasion of the Kremlin after initially accusing Kyiv. Ukraine vehemently refuses the claims, and the US has not yet answered the allegations.

Blasts were heard in Kyiv and other Ukrainian metropolises overnight and on Wednesday. Raids were also reported in Zaporizhzhia and Odesa in the south. Zelensky is anticipated to meet the Dutch PM as part of the holiday to the ICC, which has given an arrest warrant for Putin over alleged war offences.

He blamed Russia for 6,000 war offences in April alone, leading to the deaths of 207 Ukrainian people, including 11 kids.

The Ukrainian president detailed other alleged war offences by Russia – including the “millions” of attacks in the Donbas territories and those murdered during the occupation of Bucha.
