People who saw KK’s last performance in Kolkata have been sharing video clips of him on stage.

But, unfortunately, the singer died soon after performing live at the event.

The music industry is currently in shock following the death of singer KK. When the “Pal” singer fell ill while performing at Nazrul Mancha for Gurudas College’s fest, he returned to his hotel. As his condition worsened, he was hustled to the CMRI hospital in Kolkata and pronounced dead. The singer was 53 years old and is survived by his wife and two children.

His most recent post showed the singer performing at Nazrul Mancha. Photos from his performance were posted on his official Twitter account shortly before his death. “Exciting show tonight at Nazrul Mancha.” Vivekananda University!! I adore you all, “#KKLive #KKTeam,” he said. People who had doctoredthe concert a few hours earlier began sharing videos from the evening almost immediately. In the videos, KK can be seen singing “Ankhon Mein Teri,” “Dil Ibadat,” also “Abhi Abhi Toh Mile.” Fans can be seen singing along as they encourage him.

All are from all walks of life paid tribute to him as soon as word of his death spread.

“Saddened by the untimely death of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted. His songs reflected a high range of emotions and touched people of all ages. We will remember him forever through his songs. Our hearts go out to his family and fans. “Shanti Om.”

KK began his career by singing jingles. But, according to an interview with Bollywood Hungama, he was once spotted by Hariharan while singing in Delhi, and the veteran singer encouraged him to move to Mumbai.

His first song in Hindi films was Maachis’ “Chod Aaye Hum Woh Galiyan,” but Salman Khan’s song “Tadap Tadap Ke” from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam proved to be a watershed moment in KK’s career.
